Udaipur Municipal Election 2026: Voting will be held on September 11 in Udaipur, Mavli and Kanod. Over 4.33 lakh voters will vote across 120 wards for 331 candidates.

GVI NETWORK. Voting for the second phase of the Rajasthan Urban Local Body Elections 2026 will be held on Friday, September 11, in Udaipur Municipal Corporation, Mavli Municipality and Kanod Municipality. A total of 4,33,736 voters will exercise their franchise across 120 wards, deciding the fate of 331 candidates contesting the elections.

The Udaipur Municipal Corporation has 80 wards with 220 candidates in the fray. Mavli has 20 wards and 59 candidates, while Kanod has 20 wards with 52 candidates.

Polling to Begin at 7 am

Voting will begin at 7 am on Friday. A total of 450 polling stations have been set up across the three urban local bodies.

Udaipur Municipal Corporation has 410 polling stations, while Mavli and Kanod have 20 polling stations each. According to the State Election Commission’s directions, all arrangements for polling have been completed. Polling parties and security personnel have reached their respective polling stations and taken charge of the arrangements.

Udaipur Corporation Has Over 4.16 Lakh Voters

The Udaipur Municipal Corporation area has a total of 4,16,143 voters, including 2,09,048 male voters, 2,07,081 female voters and 14 transgender voters.

Mavli has 8,198 voters, comprising 4,132 men, 4,063 women and three transgender voters. Kanod has 9,395 voters, including 4,757 men and 4,638 women.

No Voter ID? 11 Alternative Documents Accepted

Voters who do not have their voter ID card can cast their vote using any of the 11 alternative identity documents approved by the State Election Commission.

These include Aadhaar Card, MGNREGA/VB-G RAM G Job Card, photo-bearing bank or post-office passbook, Health Insurance Smart Card/Ayushman Bharat Health Card, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Indian Passport, photo-bearing pension documents, photo identity cards issued by Central/State Governments, PSUs or public limited companies, official identity cards issued to MPs, MLAs and MLCs, and the Unique Disability ID (UDID) card issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Only original documents will be accepted. Soft copies or photocopies will not be valid for voting.

Public Holiday Declared in Polling Areas

A public and paid holiday has been declared in the respective polling areas of Udaipur Municipal Corporation, Mavli and Kanod on September 11, 2026.

The order issued by District Election Officer and Collector Gaurav Agrawal states that the holiday will apply to government offices as well as private and public establishments, shops, industrial units and other institutions located within the concerned electoral areas.

Employees who are registered voters in the respective municipal election areas will also be entitled to a paid holiday so they can exercise their right to vote.
