World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026 : Udaipur’s Oberoi Udaivilas Enters World’s Top 100 Hotels, Ranked 98th

The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur, has secured a place in the extended “The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026” ranking, securing the 98th position among the world’s top 100 hotels.The achievement is particularly significant for Udaipur as The Oberoi Udaivilas has entered the prestigious global ranking for the first time. Another Rajasthan property, The Johri in Jaipur, has secured the 94th position. With both Indian properties coming from Rajasthan, the state has emerged as the only Indian state represented in the extended 51–100 ranking.

Hotels From 23 Regions and 40 Cities

The extended list features hotels from 23 regions and 40 cities across the world, covering positions 51 to 100. Asia recorded the strongest representation, with 20 hotels making it to the list. The presence of two Indian hotels from Rajasthan highlights the state’s growing recognition in international luxury tourism and hospitality. France’s La Réserve Paris ranked 51st, followed by Janu Tokyo at 52nd and Park Hyatt Tokyo at 53rd. Palacio Nazarenas, Cusco secured the 54th position, while Maldives’ Soneva Fushi was ranked 55th.

The World’s 50 Best Hotels ranking is prepared based on votes from more than 800 independent experts associated with the hospitality and travel industry. The panel includes hotel industry professionals, travel journalists and experienced travellers.
